[S8E10] Suddenly

Bailey and Meredith have to pack the liver. They have done everything they can do, so now they have to wait until the patient's cooled off. That may take a while. Meredith suddenly realizes that malignant hyperthermia is genetic, so she rushes off.

Lily tells her father in recovery that he needs to wake up, because they need him. She apologizes for having been such a jerk during the camping trip. She promises she'll be nicer if he wakes up. Meredith comes in to tell Lily that Michael and Abby are out of surgery. They're both okay. Lily asks Meredith to make sure nobody tells her siblings about their mother's death, as she wants to be the one to do it. Meredith agrees to, as the father suddenly codes. The code team rushes in and starts to resuscitate. Lily moves to the corner of the room and watches in silence, crying.

Sure, they play around with the chronology a bit. We see Rick and Michonne show up at the Garbage People's base first, then move on to Negan telling Simon to go there, then see Simon slaughter the lot of them. But it's nothing out of the ordinary for this show to mess around with timelines, and this one didn't do it in any particularly clever way to justify suddenly changing up the format.

I also still can't stand Enid and the whole Enid/Aaron subplot is ridiculous. Why does Enid suddenly care so much about Aaron and vice versa? They never had any sort of bond before this and now they're hugging each other and making one another promise to stay safe (a promise neither makes, by the way.)

"Big Man on Hippocampus" is the tenth episode of the eighth season of the American animated sitcom Family Guy. It originally aired on Fox in the United States on January 3, 2010. The episode features Peter after he suddenly begins suffering from amnesia, and can no longer remember anything about his life, including his own family and friends. Frustrated, Lois decides to leave her husband, causing her neighbor, Quagmire, to attempt to win her over.

After he has been missing for several hours, Sharona and Natalie return to Monk's apartment to wait. As they talk, they loosen up and commiserate with each other on the sheer impossibility of their job. Sharona realizes Natalie's worth as her successor, and berates herself for suddenly leaving Monk all those years ago, as every day was an adventure to her. Natalie, for her part, deprecates her own work, reminding Sharona that it was she who did the heavy lifting, rescuing Monk from his catatonic breakdown after Trudy's death. Once they put their heads together, they quickly work out where Monk is: at Trudy's grave. When they find him there, they assure him that they are all right, and Sharona agrees that the most important thing is making sure justice is served and that Walsh is arrested for murder.

Was it just me, or did that fight come completely out of nowhere? And I know in the end Brett says that Foster had just suddenly changed and Emily did explain what had her in such a mood, but the sudden change nearly gave me whiplash.

The scene shows a newspaper where Pietro Maximoff is impaled on a statue with the headline: FLASH KILLED QUICKSILVER?! As the reader is laughing, it is revealed to be none other than Eobard Thawne, the Reverse-Flash. As he jokingly declared that he was the one who caused Quicksilver to die by Barry's hand, he's suddenly interrupted by the black vortex nearby. Soon, the vortex reveals it occupant, Zamasu, or in his alias, Goku Black. As the nearby people cheered for whom they thought were their savior, he outright declared he was going to execute all of them before blasting them with ki while drinking his tea. Eobard, angered that Black interrupted his self-monologuing for that, proceeded to dash towards him and prepared to punch him...

In the timestream, as Black chased after the speedster declaring himself a god while blasting him with ki but missing all of them, Thawne charges up in speed before disappearing, before returning right behind Black saying that those words were nothing to a living paradox, all a while looping his punches on Black. Thinking quick, Black gets Thawne in a chokehold to stop the loop and get back to the now destroyed city before the speedster vibrated away from Black. As Zamasu still mocked him for his efforts, he's suddenly surprised to see his Time Ring in Thawne's hand before it got destroyed. Thawne then smugly turned around and asked if it was important. Black could only look in shock before he's impaled by Thawne but when he realized Thawne was still there, he could only react in anger as DC's evil speedster flipped him off before disappearing. This new Thawne then slammed Black's face onto the ground before running around the Earth at supersonic speed a few times before pulling up the now faceless Saiyan. Smiling, this alternate Thawne then spun the body many times before using the momentum to throw Black into the sun. As Thawne admired on his own work, the body smashed into the sun so hard it went supernova, causing the energy to come and consume the planet. Thawne wisely escaped into presumably another timeline before he too was caught by the explosion.

While arguing with the Tok'ra about the attacks, a rocket engine can be heard in the background. Teal'c immediately realizes that they are under attack from the anti-Goa'uld weapon but he is prevented from leaving... and then suddenly is the only one left alive on the planet. 041b061a72
