Screenconnect License Key: How to Get a Free Trial and Demo

ConnectWise Control is commercial software. Licenses sit in a pool and are available to any user on any workstation. There are three types of license: a single concurrent that allows one simultaneous connection per license, an unlimited which allows an unlimited number of concurrent sessions as long as all sessions are utilizing the same server, and enterprise licenses which provide flexible options for SaaS, multi-user, or custom functionality.

The concurrent license types are bought as a one-time purchase, with lifetime support. A subscription model is used for updates, which are free during the first year after purchase, after which the "update license" must be renewed. Pricing for updates depends on when the update license was last-renewed.[11]

If you are looking for a self-hosted solution, check out Remote Utilities' on premise server Opens a new window Opens a new window. It's a free option, i.e. you don't need to pay extra or buy a separate license.

We bought ConnectWise Control self hosted with three technician licenses for $900 and will continue to pay maintenance on it going forward. It was my understanding that once you had that kind of license ( you bought two licenses), you could continue to add technicians to it without having to move to their new revenue gouging scheme.

The last I checked, R-HUB's remote support servers Opens a new window Opens a new window are about half the price of Bomgar's servers. However, many of our remote support customers go with a TM-210 remote support & web & video conferencing servers because it is a little cheaper at $1495. The TM-210 is licensed more for ad hoc remote support whereas the TS-300 is geared towards having 100s of unattended support sessions. Our web site has a free trial with 40 minute sessions, but you can PM me for an unlimited trial.

On access sessions i can set it up before hand to allow interaction with Kaspersky but for support sessions that isn't an option as i may get a cold call from a customer with an issue. Also every time screenconnect updates i have to change the setting in kaspersky again.

From what I can see , Kaspersky's self defence is blocking ScreenConnect. However , it doesn't block logmein or teamviewer. Is that because a) Kaspersky are willing to work with Logmein and not screenconnect OR B) logmein found a way around the problem?

As a workaround i have been using screenconnect to load teamviewer's quick support launcher and then just disabling kaspersky until i am done working on the computer. However this is not an ideal solution

Ive been doing something similar with my logmein account. Probably takes longer than your way though (since I wouldn't really call my way 'quick'!) . Since Im already paying a few hundred/annum for logmein Im not too keen to pay again for Teamviewers quick connect. Im probably like you, Im looking for a solution which allows me to connect to Kaspersky to do upgrades and re-new licences. Ive got at least a couple of hundred PCs with Kaspersky on them and it takes nearly 15 minutes to go through the motions of installing logmein temporarily, making screenconnect trusted then uninstalling logmein.

Logmein got around this, as did Teamviewer. I think I'm correct in my assumption that its simply a matter of money talks? Logmein/Teamviewer paid Kaspersky to make it compatible and screenconnect wont or its going to cost too much!

I concur with the above. I've upgraded to the latest version on clients and server. Kaspersky is still making things difficult. It'll prevent any dialog boxes appearing on my screen when I try to specify screenconnect as a trusted application, also when I try to choose to ignore the Elsinore programs. Its a right pain to be honest.

Only 2 hours ago I had to drive to a customers house to reinstall screenconnect as Kaspersky had choosen to block Elsinore app! Im sure Im like many Elsinore Server users : having paid hundreds for remote software and have the majority of customers running Kaspersky...which do you decide to drop!! Or continue with both and have higher stress levels and inconvenience..on a daily basis.

@Brandon, what's the status on this? The linked script still references old deploy @api/deki/files/21478/controlclientcleanup.sh?revision=1 connectwisecontrol-...app vs screenconnect-...app, for example.

Thank you. There is am issue with our license that is preventing your cloud instance from upgrading. I will get that resolved internally. The link you provided now shows 6.9.21870.6964. in pre release NOT stable. It showed neither this morning.

Not trying to hijack this post, but not sure where else to talk to you guys that have this working...Do you guys only use ConnectWiseControl via https:.screenconnect.com or do you all use ConnectWiseAutomate, which has two components, the Remote Agent for monitoring, and the second ConnectWiseControl piece that is basically the same piece that is a part of the screenconnect product? We have been trying to migrate from the former to the latter. We use Jamf for pushing out things. After ConnectWise started signing the screenconnect.com installer for Mac, things were gravy. However in the ConnectWiseAutomate side of things, I have issues. The mpkg installer from the Automate console supposedly fails to install and gives the following error: "Script result: installer: Package name is installer: Installing at base path /installer: The install failed (The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.)"

I have all of the suggested PPPC profile items in place for Bash and the signed screenconnect stuff (all courtesy of mobileconfigs from here.) The additional PPPC I tried to use to get rid of the PPPC prompt:

I'm not aware of any plans to sign/notarize the pkg at the moment, but a workaround would be to first deploy the support guest client, and then from the Support tab select all sessions and Install Access (though this is assuming that your license allows support sessions)

This error message appears if the Windows service launcher has quit immediately after being started. This problem usually happens because the license key has not been correctly deployed(license.txt file in the license folder). If service is not strtign with correct key, just put incorrect key and try to start. Once started, place the correct key, it will work.

The administrator configuring the TeamViewer connector must have an Intune license. You can give administrators access to Microsoft Endpoint Manager without them requiring an Intune license. For more information, see Unlicensed admins.

A TeamViewer (opens TeamViewer's web site) account with the sign-in credentials. Only some TeamViewer licenses may support integration with Intune. For specific TeamViewer needs, see TeamViewer Integration Partner: Microsoft Intune.

In a Citrix DaaS environment ignore this step because there are no licenses to install. The App Protection feature is included as a part of certain Citrix Cloud service packages and licenses are provided directly on Citrix Cloud.

App Protection requires that you install an add-on license on the Citrix License Server. A license valid for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops 1912 or later must also be present. Contact a Citrix Sales Representative to purchase the App Protection add-on license.

Choose the license pool to which this representative should belong. When this representative logs into the representative console, a license is consumed from the designated license pool. If None is selected, the representative will be able to log in to the representative console only if one or more licenses are left unassigned to license pools and are available.
